My Activity
Reviewed Peach Glazed Ham
"This was my first time cooking a ham and I could not have picked a better recipe. The peach flavor was subtle and there was a perfect amount of sweetness to the ham. I saw this receipe on one of the Neely's shows after Christmas and my mouth was watering. I knew it would be perfect for my new year's dinner and I was so right! OMG, it was so good! This is officially my family ham recipe.
Reviewed Creamy Macaroni and Cheese
"This is a great mac & cheese recipe. Made it for new year's dinner and everyone loved it - especially the kids!! I did make a few changes: I only used one egg and I added a bit more milk. I used a 16oz bag of macacroni and that seemed like too much when I added the noodles to the cheese sauce. I probably won't use the entire bag next time.
Reviewed Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler
"OMG!! I have finally found the perfect cobbler recipe. I served this as dessert for new year's dinner and my guests absolutely loved it. Next time I will probably lighten up on the blueberries. They seem to over-power the peach flavor. I also had to bake it a bit longer than 45 minutes to cook the dough completely. Nevertheless, this will be my "go-to" cobbler recipe from now on!
Reviewed Gina's Spicy Creamed Spinach
"I loved this dish. I love spicy food, but I think the recipe calls for a bit too much red pepper. I would cut back on the pepper if I serve it to guests. It also was not as thick as I would have like it to be so I added a bit more cheese.
Reviewed Candied Corn
"I will be honest. I did not like cutting th corn off the cob. However, dish was a hit. Next time, I will try frozen corn.
About Me
I am a good old Southern girl and I come from a family of naturally good cooks. I enjoy cooking, but most of all I enjoy all of the great memories that are often created during meal time.
Favorite Foods
I love to eat rice and gravy (i.e. anything smothered..chicken, pork chops, steaks, etc). I love to cook all sorts of things. I don't know what I am famous for, but my friends enjoy my gumbo and my pralines. My favorite places to eat are Pappadeaux and the Cheesecake Factory.
