Reviewed Creamy Cole Slaw

"This coleslaw recipe is the bomb! I didn't have any celery salt so I used celery seed and kosher salt. I also used one bag of precut slaw (I'm lazy I have used MANY recipes for coleslaw over the years and this one is superior. A note about the dry mustard overwhelming the dish...don't plan on making this and serving it immediately...it needs to se"

Reviewed Shrimp Puffs

"This recipe is in the September issue of food network magazine and it is not so much...I don't know what the constraints were when this was developed for "The next Food Network Star" but this was pretty much horrible. Reviewed Penne with Cajun Hot Links and Chipotle Shrimp

"We made this last night and thought the BBQ sauce was way too sweet and the ratio of BBQ sauce called for seemed way off. We ended up using about a quarter of the finished Chipotle sauce in the dish and that was after we altered the sauce itself by adding more lemon, some shrimp stock and some Asian garlic chili paste because we hated the taste of the sauce as prepared in the recipe (too sweet and commercial tasting with the 1.5 cups of bottled BBQ sauce) The finished dish after we fooled around with it, was actually really good, but I have to give this two stars because if we hadn't totally changed the sauce recipe/ratio we would not have liked it AT ALL. Maybe there is a particular BBQ sauce (maybe his own?) that GF uses personally for this dish because just using a cup and a half of random bottled commercial stuff did NOT get it! Good idea for a dish, but I think more info is needed in the recipe. A novice cook who doesn't like BBQ sauce would make this and be very unhappy!"
