Reviewed Maple Bread with Soft Cheese

Christmas morning cooking by myself, decided I deserved a treat. Half-paying attention while it cooked, I practically burned it, and STILL. Mind blown.

Amazing. This is so good.

Reviewed Smoked Sardine Caesar with Salumi and Pan-Croutons

I LOVED this salad! Wonderful balance, and adaptable too. Would be perfect for a party.

I added cherry tomatoes and cucumbers to my salad (since I was "cooking" for myself and I like them) and cut down the butter and cheese a little bit. Still excellent. I could eat the pan croutons by themselves. And I've never bought kippers,...

Simple and simply excellent. Also possibly foolproof. I messed up several times -- over-toasted the almonds, had to mix in the lemon zest and vanilla after the dough had already come together -- but they were STILL delicious. Not teeth-breakingly hard, great flavor. Five stars."

Reviewed Wild Mushroom Broken Spaghetti Risotto with Arugula and Hazelnuts

Mar 23, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I didn't see the show, just found this by searching -- it's good, with lots of flavor, but what is with the "broken" spaghetti? Not only did it hurt my hands to break it up, but it flew all over the kitchen during prep and cooking. I must be doing something wrong, but I scanned the comments and looked for a video and couldn't figure out what. It seems...
