"I've made this recipe several times and it definitely needs olive oil. I made it in my Vitamix blender and added the olive oil last so I would get the right texture. I read the other reviews of this recipe and I think it depends on the type of tahini that is used. I have found the more creamy tahinis are less potent. Hope that helps!"
