Reviewed The Mean Green
"I absolutely LOVE this dish! I made it for the first time two years ago for Thanksgiving. My family has never had green bean casserole on our Thanksgiving table, and this was a hit! It is time consuming, but well worth it! This year, I am going to try to bake the onion topping, to avoid the tavern smell caused by the deep frying! Would love to know if anyone has tried any alternative methods for making it ahead to save time on Turkey Day. Happy Cooking!
I am a food network JUNKIE!! I love to cook! It is my theraputic passion! I believe in home cooked meals, the dinner table and fresh ingredients. Food is a gathering place, a place of warmth, family and conversation. It is a necessary component of life and has always been a communal centerpiece. I am happy to see the serge back to family dinners and the push to by-pass the drive through for fresh, home made dinners.
Lasange!! Pasta of all kinds! A few years ago, my family went in together and bought me a kitchenaid stand mixer and pasta attachment, and since then, I have been pasta obsessed!
