"I absolutely LOVE this dish! I made it for the first time two years ago for Thanksgiving. My family has never had green bean casserole on our Thanksgiving table, and this was a hit! It is time consuming, but well worth it! This year, I am going to try to bake the onion topping, to avoid the tavern smell caused by the deep frying! Would love to know if anyone has tried any alternative methods for making it ahead to save time on Turkey Day. Happy Cooking!
