Reviewed Roman-style Chicken

Feb 19, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is by far one of the best meals I've ever had! My husband made this for me last night. It was soooo flavorful and the chicken was very moist. He used boneless skinless breasts and it was excellent that way. The only thing we would change next time is the capers - just didn't work for us, maybe too salty. This one will definitely be made agai...

Reviewed Genovese-style Artichokes

Feb 19, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My husband made these for me last night and they were outstanding! He added a touch more cheese to the tops when they were done cooking and it gave it that something extra it was lacking. Also, next time he will omit the oil at the end - just don't think it's all that necessary.""

Reviewed Mini Cheeseburger Salad with Yellow Mustard Vinaigrette

Feb 18, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I too thought this was a pretty decent recipe. Although, I do agree with other reviewers - would've been even better to do just sliders on buns with a side salad.""

Reviewed Mac and Jack Salad

Feb 16, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I really like this salad. I made it for all our family get togethers and everyone loves it! Great for the summer time because it's not loaded with mayo and can sit outside for a period of time.""

Reviewed Sirloin With Teriyaki Broth

Feb 7, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made this for my husband and myself exactly as the recipe reads. We definitely agreed it needed some heat so we added crushed red pepper flakes. Also wanted more teriyaki flavor so we added another tablespoon of teriyaki sauce to each of our bowls. Thought an addition of mushrooms and substituting more veggies instead of sweet potatoes and omit...

Reviewed Turkey Burger

Feb 5, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Made these last night for dinner for my husband and myself and they were fantastic! Very juicy and you could almost not even tell it was turkey. So flavorful! These will definitely be made again and again.""

LOVE this recipe! So much sauce! We added shrimp and red pepper flakes. Will definitely make again and again!""

Reviewed Sweet 'n Sticky Sesame Chicken

Jan 21, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

It was just OK. I used half the amount of cornstarch as suggested in other reviews, which was a good idea - the sauce would've been a paste with all of it. I too agree that the dredging process was a complete waste - it made absolutely no difference at all and I could taste flour in the dish. Definitely doesn't taste like traditional sesame chick...

Reviewed Chicken with Jerk Sauce and Cool Pineapple Salsa

Jan 15, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Eh - just alright. I've made this recipe twice. The first time I followed the recipe to the tee. The second time I cut the chicken in chunks after it was cooked and then tossed it in the sauce and for some reason it tasted slightly better. Just lacked that true jerk flavor.""

Reviewed Thai-Style Halibut with Coconut-Curry Broth

Jan 15, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Mmmmm Mmmm Mmm!!!!!! My husband and I LOVE this recipe. We use tilapia instead of halibut to keep cost down and it is equally delicious. We also add brown rice and steamed broccoli to give it more bulk. However, I do notice a huge difference in the flavor of the dish when using the paste vs. powder. The first time I made it, I used powder and it ...

Reviewed Chicken Parmesan

Jan 15, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I was surprised by how many people thought this recipe was so wonderful; for me it was just mushy and just OK. Pouring the sauce over the breaded chicken and the finishing in the oven just left it totally not crisp. I think next time I'll just nix the breading...""

Reviewed Venison Stew

Jan 15, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This stew was sooooo good! Used New Zealand venison and added frozen pearl onions and mushrooms, otherwise followed recipe exactly. Doesn't say how much Essence to use so I added about 3 tablespoons and it was the perfect amount of spice.""

Reviewed Greek Taco!

Sep 20, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

When I saw Jeff make this I knew I had to make it for myself and my husband. We have began healthy eating though for almost a year so I did make some adjustments and it turned out wonderfully! Instead of lamb, I substituted 1 pound of 97% lean ground beef and lean ground chicken. Instead of whole-milk greek yogurt, I used non-fat. Finally, I used...

Reviewed Classic Coleslaw with Caraway

Sep 18, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe is pretty decent. I don't necessarily like the way it tastes on its own, however, I put it on pulled pork sandwiches and it compliments the pork very well. For me on its own, it slightly lacks in flavor.""

Reviewed Chicken with Forty Cloves of Garlic

Aug 13, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

AMAZING!!!!!!!! My husband did not say one word during dinner because he kept shoving it in his mouth hahahaha!!! I used brandy instead of cognac and boneless skinless chicken breasts instead of a whole fryer and it was equally delicious. ""
