I also didn't have heavy cream, so I searched the Internet for a sub, 3/4 cup milk and 1/3 cup melted butter equals 1cup of heavy cream, you would need to double this for the recipe, as you need 2 cups of cream. "These are so good! I used coarse sea salt instead- as that was what I had on hand. I only put the salt on the top, not in the batter, because I used salted butter- didnt have unsalted butter on hand either. They are easy to make and very good. I will be making these again, and again."
