"Somehow my earlier comments disappeared. On a food site it seems silly to criticize a recipe for including ingredients you may not have in your pantry. The spice blend here is available, and described, on the Savory Spice Shop's website. It is their version of the Moroccan Spice blend ras el hannout which translates to "top of the shop." In Morocco spice merchants have their own special blends of spices, etc. that may include more than 20 different ingredients.

"PS - Making preserved lemons is dead easy. Try googling the term "Moroccan preserved lemon" and you will see how really simple they are to prepare. No need to buy them; do it yourself

"I plan to try this recipe but want to comment on earlier comments regarding the spice blend. If you check out the Savory Spice Shop site you will see that the Marrakesh spice mix is their version of ras el hannout. In Morocco this is a spice blend that varies between spice merchants and means "top of the shop." On a food site it seems silly to give a recipe a low rating because it calls for something a reviewer may not have in their kitchen, particularly when there are links to the guests who appeared on the show from whom the ingredients are available. Their site also lists the spices they include in their blend. The recipe and the instructions are straight forward and the dish should be great; cooks may like to fine-tune the amount of spice mix to their own tastes.
