I love this recipe! I've made it many times, and everyone loves it! I do, however, make a couple of substitutions, as I'm not a fan of asparagus. I use fresh, trimmed, blanched green beans, and then I use edamame in place of the peas... It really is a lovely combo, and a great side for most every summer throw down!! "

I'm really not a baker person, but this was a no-fail recipe! So easy! Delicious, and I think it would probably work with most any fruit combination. I think I'll try peach/blueberry next time. This recipe is a keeper! Everyone who ate it on this Fourth of July LOVED it and ate it UP!!"

I totally disagree with Miss Kitty. I've lived in Texas all my life, and am, in fact, a 7th generation Texan. I've grown up with Southern Egg Gravy, and it ROCKS. Claire knows her Southern food!!!
