Reviewed roasted edamame salad

Sep 1, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

Delicious. I cooked the veggies in a skillet rather than the oven, and added more vinegar & garlic. The basil was the special flavor that made it pop.

I'd like to see a recipe for the wings rub since that's the flavor that everyone raved about.

Can't wait to make these - slicing the pork belly before grilling is unique. Let's review the recipes NOT the host's hairstyles.

We made Mock Angel Food Cake at camp too. Definitely will make these bars.

Reviews are written by viewers and show up on most recipes. Occasionally if a recipe is really old, I've noticed that the reviews aren't there. I've never see FN staff reply to questions such as yours. Maybe you can find contact info & email them rather than dragging down the rating of a recipe.

Replied to chicken tortilla casserole

This is similar to the old King Ranch Chicken casserole, but without the nasty condensed soups.

This is a great recipe which I've made before. Amy added a drizzle of melted milk chocolate to the cooled bars.

Reviewed Simple Roast Chicken with Chestnut Breading

Nancy said that she cooked the chicken breast side down, yet the recipe doesn't say that & when she took it out of the oven, the breast was up. Please clarify. I want to make this!

Reviewed Charcoal Grilled Chicken Sinaloa-Style with Grilled Corn, Black Bean and Quinoa Relish

Sep 15, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I used the marinade on pork chops, which I cooked in a grill pan after marinating for 5 hours. For those who said their finished dish was bland, it might be because the recipe doesn't tell you when to add salt & pepper. Luckily I caught this so I seasoned just before cooking. They were delicious and had a nice golden color. I made my own black bea"

Reviewed Trisha's Wedge Salad with Thousand Island Dressing

Jul 20, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I've always loved 1000 Island dressing & was horrified that Trisha didn't add pickle relish - I thought it was named for those little floating bits of green. Well I was wrong - "the name presumably comes from the Thousand Islands between the United States and Canada in the St. Lawrence River." So I forgive Trisha for not adding pickles."

Typo - the sun-dried tomatoes are listed twice. A suggestion - use the oil from the tomatoes instead of olive oil for drizzling on the salmon - more flavor."

Can't wait to try this - bright color looks so sprigy. I don't enjoy the bickering by Aunt Raffie - it reminds me of when Jacques Pepin & daughter Claudine argued through the entire show. Find a more pleasant guest, Giada. Love your "modern" version of recipes."

Since most people don't have 5 miniature cast iron skillets, does anyone have suggestions as to what to use instead? I like the individual portions - would souffle dishes work?"

Reviewed Tater Tots

Jul 7, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I noticed that they pulled the recipe from the list on today's rerun. I think the problem is the "six potatoes". Size of spuds varies and a more exact measurement might have prevented all of the failures. "

Reviewed Cornbread Dressing with Pancetta, Apples, and Mushrooms

Pioneer Woman? I expected simpler recipes from someone who lives in the middle of Oklahoma. Instead this calls for artisan bread, pancetta & dried mushrooms & turned out dry. After checking further I found out that PW's husband is very wealthy & her life isn't roughing it at all. Disappointed with her cocky attitude & won't be reading her blog.
