Sorry to say but this wasn't good at all. I grew up with my mom cooking peas with bacon in a really great recipe, but my husband doesn't eat bacon so when I saw Paula cooking this on her show, I thought I would give it a shot. I found there was nothing tasty, flavorful or 'yum' about this dish. Very bland, very boring.

This soup is SO GOOD!!! I have never really liked tomato soup but saw this recipe, read the comments and thought it was worth a shot. I just made it for the 2nd time, my husband and I LOVE this recipe, definitely going to be a staple in our house.

I did not include the orzo, or the saffron as I saw others didn't either, it's expensive....

As another reviewer said, it exceeded my expectations. My husband, neighbor and I all enjoyed this yummy recipe. I added chicken to mine and I'm so glad I did, definitely recommend if you want some protein in there. We grocery shopped rather late...
