Reviewed Green Peas and Mushrooms

Apr 5, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Sorry to say but this wasn't good at all. I grew up with my mom cooking peas with bacon in a really great recipe, but my husband doesn't eat bacon so when I saw Paula cooking this on her show, I thought I would give it a shot. I found there was nothing tasty, flavorful or 'yum' about this dish. Very bland, very boring.

I didn't...

This soup is SO GOOD!!! I have never really liked tomato soup but saw this recipe, read the comments and thought it was worth a shot. I just made it for the 2nd time, my husband and I LOVE this recipe, definitely going to be a staple in our house.

I did not include the orzo, or the saffron as I saw others didn't either, it's expensive....

Awesome! And the marinade smells SO GOOD!!!! I have made it twice now, husband loves it! I used dried thyme and threw in a little rosemary too. Upon making the marinade, I wanted to make garlic bread out of it. Seriously, its amazing!"

Husband & I loved this recipe! I made them with fresh salmon. I don't know if mine didn't have enough breadcrumbs but I did struggle with them in the saute pan with the butter and olive oil. They came apart easily and needed to be cooked longer on each side. Plus it was a little too drenched in oil for us. Instead I formed the rest of my cakes and"

First time I soaked my pears in brandy as someone else had mentioned but I soaked them for too long & probably with too much. My 1st clafouti was too o"

Wonderful! I also wondered how so few ingredients could result in all these great reviews. Made it and LOVED it! Husband keeps asking me to make it again. "

Agreed... PERFECTION! Made this with Ina's filet of beef. Even my friend who doesn't like gorgonzola enjoyed it. Absolutely wonderful, will definitely make again!"

This turned out WONDERFUL!! I made this for my husband and a friend and it was absolutely fantastic! I used a beef round sirloin tip roast that was already tied, from Gelsons market. I had to cook mine for a lot longer as I enjoy my meat more on the well done side. Everything was ok until I added some water on the bottom of my pan. It did get smok"

I just made this recipe tonight and it turned out amazing, absolutely in love with this soup!
As another reviewer said, it exceeded my expectations. My husband, neighbor and I all enjoyed this yummy recipe. I added chicken to mine and I'm so glad I did, definitely recommend if you want some protein in there. We grocery shopped rather late...
