I made this last night for dinner and it was so good! I chopped and sliced everything earlier in the day, so it was definitely a no-fuss dinner. I used Jasmine rice instead of long grain, didn't have tomato paste, and instead of fresh tomatoes, I used a can of diced tomatoes and no jalapeno. I live in a VERY small town and I could not get fresh scallops, so I used frozen. This topping has so many fresh and clean tasting elements, that it definitely enhanced the flavor of my frozen scallops! I followed the recipe exactly with the exception on the Pernod...as I didn't have any. Still an EXCELLENT end result.

I made this for dessert tonight, along with 2 other recipes from Ina, Scallop Gratin and oven roasted brusssell sprouts. This crisp has such a good flavor with the citrus zest and juice, so I strongly suggest that you do not skip these ingredients. Very easy to make, definitely worth the effort!

This recipe was so good! It couldn't possibly be easier to make. Nothing extravagant for the cocktail sauce, very basic ingredients, perfectly balanced. But that IS what Ina does best! My husband and I both felt the shrimp had the best flavor once it was cold, which is how shrimp cocktail is typically eaten. Hmmm, what to make next from Ina's recipe...
