"Awesome! Switched out the cherries for dried cranberries, the lemon zest for orange zest and the almonds for pecans. I hope that dosen't make it a whole new recipe, but the family loved them!"

"Thought these were great. The first time I made them I went totally by the recipe. They were a little too sweet for a savory shortbread in my opinion. Made them again this past weekend and only put in 3/4 cup of sugar and they came out much better."

"Sorry, Paula. I was ready to blow my diet with this bread. It was very bitter. The pecans floated to the top during baking, so they weren't all the way through the bread. Maybe using milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet would be better, but I would rather make boxed brownies next time.
