To me this dish was "normal", not exceptional in taste, and I am a real fan of Giada's recipes."

Reviewed Anytime Vegetable Salad

Jul 29, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is a great salad to bring to a summer picnic. You can vary the vegetables with what you have that's fresh. I used the wax beans as my base, added cucumber, cherry tomatoes, corn from the cob and a spicy pepper. The dressing is perfect with very fresh vegetables."

Reviewed Penne with Turkey Meatballs

Nov 21, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made these meatballs from my cookbook and did not read these reviews before making them. Following the recipe, the first batch I cooked did not hold together so I then added more bread crumbs to the rest of the meat mix. These were too bland so I added more cheese and salt, but was still disappointed."

This is a keeper, I haven't made one yet that I did not like. Adding a little cottage cheese lightened it up a bit the last time I made it."

Reviewed Fresh Fettuccine with Roasted Chicken and Broccoli Rabe

May 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I've never had any luck cooking broccoli rabe--always comes out too bitter for me-- so I made this with leftovers in my refrigerator which were chicken, mushrooms and fresh spinach. Great sauce for using leftovers and I think it could be made using just the vegetables. "

I've never had any luck cooking broccoli rabe--always comes out too bitter for me-- so I made this with chicken, mushrooms and spinach. Great recipe for using leftover chicken although I think it could be made even without the chicken-using just the vegetables. I had to thicken my sauce a bit, but no prob we ate the whole thing."

Good recipe --if you don't think about the calories. I didn't know how to figure out how many dried mushrooms to put in and regretfully did not use enough. In the future, I would suggest to count out the number of mushrooms you want in your sauce and use that as your guide.""
