My Activity

Reviewed Mocha Chocolate Icebox Cake

"I was so excited to use the springform cake pan I found in my husband's cupboard 3 years ago when we were first dating (I thought it was an odd thing to find in a bachalor's kitchen). I used homemade cookies (Alton Brown's "The Thin" chocolate chip cookie recipe) and Melissa D'Arabian's "Mock Mascarpone". It was soooo good. I brought it to a famil"

Reviewed Beatty's Chocolate Cake

"I made this today for my husband's birthday. We LOVED it! It was moist and had wonderful flavor. I think the frosting is by far the best frosting I have EVER tasted. This recipe was very easy to follow. I have had trouble with cakes in the past, but this one came out perfect! Thanks Ina, your recipes never fail me! "

Reviewed French Potato Salad

"I just finished making a double batch for a father's day picnic tomorrow and I am having a hard time not eating it all! I'm a vegetarian, so I used veggie broth and my grocery store doesn't carry champagne vinegar so I used white wine vinegar. It's still delicious!
This is the perfect thing to bring when someone else is bringing macaroni salad "

Reviewed Chicken Cacciatore

"I actually made this with tofu and it was absolutly amazing! I served it over linguine and my whole family loved it! I've made it with and without the capers and it's good either way, just a matter of personal preference.

Reviewed Veg-Head Three-Bean Chili

"This is my all-time favorite veg chili! I leave out the jalapeno and skimp a little on the hot sauce when I make it for my 2 year old daughter, but would leave it in when I used to make it for just my husband who likes it hot. It's great either way. I always use the full can of refried beans, it's super yum and doesn't go to waste :)
