My Activity

Reviewed Maple-Glazed Salmon with Pineapple Salsa

"About once a year, I seem to forget that I don't like sweet fish dishes and I try something like this. Didn't love it. The salmon didn't have much flavor. The salsa was pretty good, but I've had better. I added a fresh jalapeno which helped a lot. We won't be making this again. I'll stick to my dijon mustard, lemon and dill salmon recipe. "

Reviewed Turkey, Kale and Brown Rice Soup

"Very good soup! I like soups that have both protein and veggies. The herb de provence is quite strong, I may start with a smaller amount next time, but it is a unique and warm flavor. I didn't add the rice because we are cutting carbs. I think it would be good with turkey sausage too. YUM! "

Reviewed Double Chocolate and Mint Cookies

"Delicious cookies! Very cakey, almost like brownies. I've made them twice; the first time I used peanut butter chips and last night I made them again with the Andes. Reviewed Turkey Meatloaf with Feta and Sun-Dried Tomatoes

"Excellent meatloaf! But way too salty. I wish I had read more reviews before I made it. I think only a pinch is necessary. Other than that it's wonderful and so light. ""

Reviewed Old-Fashioned Apple Crisp

"Just wonderful! I made this for Christmas Eve and it was such a hit. I served it with vanilla ice cream and everyone raved about it. I think it's the orange and nutmeg that really put it over the top. I will make this again and again. ""

Reviewed Oven Fries

"GREAT potatoes. Easy to make for a lot of people, but you have to watch them and pull them out right before they burn. Also important not to overcrowd the pan. ""

Reviewed Halibut in Artichoke and Tomato Broth

"Excellent dish! So very tasty. My husband loved it and he doesn't usually like fish. I used red onion instead of shallots and marinated artichokes instead of frozen because that's what I had on hand. It's a beautiful dish that would be great for company. Next time I will serve it with warm french bread to soak up the wonderful broth.
