Fabulous base recipe - I do agree with adding garlic for depth of flavor. We like lots, but that's our preference. "lots" to us meant about 5 cloves in this. A keeper!! Thanks, Ree!

Look into vegan cheeses that are usually made from soy. You should be able to find a parmesan flavor. Good luck!

After making holupchi (pics in a blanket) I had leftover cabbage and gave this a shot. Wow!! A keeper for sure. It made enough that I shared with a fussy Aunt and she wanted more, more, more!!

Hot Hungarian paprika gave us a good "kick". I also added 1/2 tsp cayanne and we can't get enough!

Given the ingredients and spices and herbs, I'm at a loss to understand your comment "no flavor". If you like heat, add some red pepper flakes or cayanne.

I'm Ukrainian and we use sour cream in several soups, so I substituted that for the creme fraiche. Regarding the tomato passata, I added a small can of diced tomatoes and a touch of tomato paste. Was incredibly yummy!

I need to add this... I get 8 enchiladas as we use the 10" tortilla rounds. One per person with refried beans and dirty rice, or another rice dish on the side and you have a fabulous meal. This is a staple, especially when chicken is on sale and we stock up!

I'm giving this a 4+ just because of the dumplings. I'll admit, it may have been me, but they seemed a tad gummy. The taste was phenomenal and my FIL lapped it up! I'll definitely make this again and work on making the dumplings a touch better

I picked this recipe because of the oven temp and baking time. I also adjusted the seasonings for each batch to see what we liked best.

This is a go-to every Thanksgiving. I make broth from the carcass and use the broth as a base for this soup. This delicious soup never lasts long! In fact, I'm on my second round of making this using the broth I made after our Thanksgiving this year. AWESOME soup! The one change I make is to add okra - for a touch more authenticity. Thanks, E"

I combined this luscious recipe with farfalle pasta and roasted parm broccoli. A 4 star hit!
