Reviewed Perfect Turkey Burgers

Apr 28, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

I used a couple of regular white mushrooms instead of the portabella cap and it worked out fine. Burgers were moist and juicy, even after I reheated the leftovers in a frying pan the next day. I will def make these again, however, next time I plan on adding a lot more worcestershire and maybe a little garlic (Burgers were tasty, but need a little "

This has been my go to sugar cookie recipe for the past 7 years. I make them every Christmas and sprinkle them with red and green sugar. I make them for parties, I make them just because! I wouldn't change a thing, perfect. Always a hit."

I LOVED this, it reminds me of something my british grandmother would make. I couldn't find ground lamb at the store that day, so oppted to use a "meatloaf" mixture instead. Reviewed Lemon Chicken Breasts

My boyfriend loved it! I added a little white whine to the sauce, and followed other reviewers advice and made double the sauce. Definitely add the fresh lemon zest to the frugal, delicious!""

Reviewed Apple Coffee Cake with Crumble Topping and Brown Sugar Glaze

Aug 12, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

A perfect coffee cake. Not too sweet, just right; although I did only add half the glaze. I wound up having to bake my cake for an additional 15 minutes. I think cooking time can vary a lot due to the type and amount of apples you use (They can through off a lot of water, but help keep the cake moist.) If you do a toothpick test, it will come out...

Reviewed Curried Chicken and Rice Soup

Aug 1, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

I made this soup vegetarian by using a cubed sweet potato instead of chicken and vegetable broth. I also added some chopped chilies and fresh ginger to the broth; as well as some extra curry powder and celery to the rice and onion pot to amp up the flavor. It came out absolutely delicious, I have never had a soup like this before! "
