"The taste was OK...not much different than adding a little butter and maple syrup to cooked carrots. I had a problem with the glaze. Surely you meant to remove the carrots while the 1 full cup of liquid was being reduced to a glaze. There is no way 1 cup of liquid will reduce in 3 minutes.
