Very very good. I made it tonight. I cut the recipe in 1/2 and used an 8" cast iron skillet-- cooked for 1 hour-- perfect. I think to mix it up- it would be great to add some mashed banana to the mix for a little extra flavor underneath that amazing crumble! I'll def treat this as a base recipe for many more to come! :)"

Fantastic--- I had two people say.. "omg-- this is the best dessert you've ever made"--- which at first was offensive because of how fast i made this-- compared to all the other desserts i've made that cost a lot and take so much more time to make! The only suggestion I have is to use 3/4 cup pb-- which is what made it fabulous!

Thanks...

I cook all the time for my friends-- we always do Sunday dinners together-- and each time I try something new. I made this dish with israeli couscous and sautéed green beans- awesome. Also, served toasted baguette for dipping in that amazing sauce! It's already been requested for this coming Sunday as well :)

I thought it was awesome!! You should also try the Cajun Chicken Jambalaya! Equally awesome!

And, yes, I agree with the others-- the dish is not on the chopping block for whether or not it's 'textbook' cuban--- I'm so sick of good tasting meals getting bashed. Cooking it supposed to be fun-- and you "The Cuban" make it suck."

Thought it was absolutely awesome! As for Rob and Laf...they clearly have too much free time to judge something they haven't even tried. The entire point of cooking is to put your own spin on it. Sandra has never ordained that her methods are straight from roots of cajun cuisine-- yet- just a nod to what inspired her to make them. Get a life--...

Absolutely awesome dish! I sat here for 5 minutes trying to be creative with my words-- but that pretty much sums it up- awesome. Def. a dish that you could use smoked sausages, chicken, pork, etc. I did save the 3 cups as suggested-- so I look forward to the 'round 2' recipes!! :)"

Happy and Heartbroken :( The Happy: The Turkey Roulade itself was great! Had a great taste- and I even dipped cheesecloth in butter to make sure it wouldn't be dry. Now, The Heartbroken: The 'left over' stuff to be baked off on it's own- not good at all! It was so dense/greasy that I couldn't even put it on the table. It worked in the bird-- but...
