"I also want to say, that you should never overmix dough, especially when it is used for biscuits, bread, cake etc. These remind me of Red Lobster's biscuits, minus the chedder(hmm...maybe i'll add cheese next time!). They are not going to be like a southern type buttermilk biscuit, so if you're looking for that, this recipe is not for you. Ms. Paula does have recipes for those type though.

"Totally agree with @apriltxn, this recipe is wrong, and will make a more scone like biscuit. I too made these after watching Paula make them on Tv, and they were delicious, fluffy and were eaten all by my husband in ten minutes,lol.
Here's the recipe: 2 cups self-rising flour
2 sticks butter, softened(I have used both, salted and unsalted. Your preference.)
1 cup sour cream(reg,low fat or fat-free)
Like @apriltxn, says...bake at 400 until golden. This can take between 8-25 min. depending on your oven. Mine takes about 17 minutes, a friend of mine had to bake hers closer to 25 min. So yummy with strawberry jam!
