Reviewed Hurry Up Chicken Pot Pie

Jun 29, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Very good. I did make a few changes:
- I took the time to roast and debone a chicken. The chicken was very tender and I think that including the dark meat really moistens up the chicken.
- Added 1/4 c sour cream to the soup and stock mixture. I also added an additional ½ c soup and ¼ c stock because I used so many more vegetables.

This was very soggy. I did use a smaller pan so maybe it was too much liquid to bread ratio? Nonetheless, I made this for a brunch for some women and ended up having to make scrambled eggs QUICKLY so that we had something to eat. I did try to cook it longer (like 30 minutes longer) to try to dry it out, but it remained WET and inedible.

For me, the sauce came out too salty (maybe I tried to reduce it too long)....I also used bone out short ribs and they got done too quickly (if you use these shorten the cooking time quite a bit). Really liked using the dutch oven...and I will make this again with a few modifications.

Officially not delish. I am disappointed (and wondering what to do with all of the food!)....I have had moroccan food and this does not hit the mark.

Notes:
Pros
- Made a lot of food
Cons
- What to do with all of the food? I am not sure that my husband will eat this.
- To me...

Officially not delish. To me this dish was not flavorful at all. I will not be adding this to the "must serve" list for the family. It did make a lot of food.
