I was hesitant by this recipe at first simply because I never made Tzatziki before! It was surprisingly easy to make and had an excellent authentic flavor."

Reviewed Peanut Butter French Toast "Waffles" with Mixed Berry Sauce

Jun 5, 2013 in Recipes on Cooking Channel

Meh... the berry sauce was good, however my "waffles" came out pretty dry; even after soaking the bread for five minutes on each side as the recipe directed. The idea of french toast "waffles" is unique but unfortunately I was pretty disappointed with this recipe.

Honestly this is a very good recipe, however I add 1/4 teaspoon italian seasoning, and instead of canned tomatoes I use marinara sauce. I always use a red bell pepper since it is sweet, sometimes I use 1/4 cup of grated carrot as well (to get veggies in without anyone noticing). I make this recipe quite often, but I usually top it with BBQ sauce. "

What a fantastic recipe! I have followed this recipe several times and I just love it. Since I am a huge fan of cinnamon I added some to the topping as well, and used "sugar in the raw" for some more texture. Absolutely fabulous!"

Excellent recipe! I made this for Thanksgiving and Christmas, my family absolutely loved it. Don't forget to brine the turkey at least 24 hours before preparation, other than that I wouldn't change a thing. "

Reviewed Copy-Cat Panda Express Sweet Fire Chicken

Oct 22, 2011 in on

This is a great base recipe for the Sweet Fire Chicken you would normally see at Panda Express. I made some minor changes: instead of frying the chicken, I chose a healthier alternative by boiling the chicken in chicken broth. Once the chicken was done, I added it to a sauté pan and cooked it in the delicious sauce provided by Jillian - which I a...
