We loved these. Next time I will look for smaller dates than I had, try the manchego (just had greyuere on hand), and use the Oscar Mayer prime cut bacon - it's so lean and thin! Also, less syrup, they seem to get sweeter when they cool some.

Great recipe and can't wait to make it even better next time for our friends at the house...

We loved these, but thought my dates were too big for a bite-size appetizer. I used greyuere and almonds, since that's what I had, will have to get some manchego for next time.
