My Activity

Reviewed Orange Baked Ham

"Best...Ham,,,Ever!!! I have been quite a ham eater through the years. Basically, picture Ralphie's dad from A Christmas Story and his turkey fixation. This is far and away the best ham I've ever tasted. I bought one that was spiral sliced and followed the recipe exactly. Upon taking the first bite, each of us got a look of bliss on our faces. We ate as much as we could, and later in the evening kept going back to the kitchen just to smell the aroma still coming from the pan. This is last meal on death row good! I had enough leftovers for several meals but still mourned when the last of it was gone. This recipe doesn't take much effort but will make you look like a gourmet chef. I even used a blender to prepare the glaze because I don't have a food processor. I've eaten my weight in ham, but this was like eating it for the first time, the way it was always meant to be.

Reviewed Buttermilk Pancakes

"Far and away the worst pancakes I have ever eaten, including frozen. I knew it wasn't going to turn out well when the batter was barely thicker than water. I've made plenty of pancakes before (usually from a mix) so I know how the batter should look and how much stirring should be required. It's laughable that the directions call for spreading the batter with a spoon since it rolls out paper thin on the griddle. The end result was thin, floppy pancakes that tasted so bad I threw them away.
