"Extremely moist, flavorful cake. Highly recommend. I only added 1/2 cup of coffee because of reader reviews saying it tasted like mocha...that's not what I wanted. No doubt it would be good but if that's not the flavor profile you want, there is no harm in reducing it. Coffee definitely enhances the chocolate flavor so I wouldn't eliminate it. I didn't do the icing because I really don't like the buttercream frosting. I used an old favorite from my Mom :).
