My Activity

Reviewed Mexican Corn Soup

"Regretting not using the cheese and bacon...could have added a lot more flavor. I did add 1 poblano pepper and 1 jalapeno pepper which made it medium spicy, but still lacked some major flavors."

Reviewed Gina's Hot and Spicy Tortilla Soup

"Very good! In addition to the above ingredients, I added 1/2 tsp Mexican spices (as I only had regular diced tomatoes, not "Mexican-style"), 2 cloves of minced garlic, and 1 diced Serrano pepper. It had just the right amount of medium spiciness. It tasted so fresh! "

Reviewed Spaghetti Bolognese

"Holy cinnamon and nutmeg! I'm glad I halved those, and will further reduce them next time! I also substituted beef and pork for ground turkey and eliminated the cream at the end. Other than those changes, I followed the recipe and it turned out pretty well! Just a few more tweaks with the spices and it will be perfect!""

Reviewed Killer Hazelnut Brownie Bites

"Yum! Delicious brownies...loved the crunch of the chopped hazelnuts on top (skipped the frosting). Forgot to add the vanilla bean, but used turbinado sugar with vanilla flavor and that worked out great.""

Reviewed Sour Cream Coffee Cake

"Very very good! I followed the cake recipe exactly and then I doubled the entire streusel recipe and had enough for a nice middle layer as the others suggested. I baked for 55 minutes and the edges were a bit dry, so next time I will take out a few minutes early. I also tried baking in muffin tins and 2 dozen muffins were done in 30 minutes and"

I used a different glaze recipe that I really like... 2 Tbs. melted butter, 1 Cup"
