Hint: Microwave whole rutabaga 5 minutes for an EZ peel.
I added extra potatoes and cream cheese. Big HIT in our home.

We loved `em! However, I tweaked the recipe a bit. Rollled the meatballs in flour and then quick fried for golden crust before adding to the gravy. So good and glad I made a double batch, as these went fast.

I I added 1 tsp each of dried sage and rosemary to the rub and used clementines instead of lemon in the cavity. Also added a couple of carrots under the bird to add a bit of sweetness to the gravy. My family loved it! Thanks for sharing. We'll make this again and again.

Loved it! Substituted 2 cans of beef consume w/gel instead of using the beef bullion and skipped the water. Also used yogurt instead of the sour cream and had cream cheese in the house so added 1/4 cup of that too. Super yummy on home made egg noodles."

For my first attempt at risotto, this was YUMMO'S! However, I did add a clove of minced garlic once the onions had a nice start on the 2 minute saute.
No sherry, so sub'ed w/ wine.
Porcinis were not accessible in Canada's great northern wilderness, so had to use the standard white mushroom.
And used chicken stock vs....
