"Absolutely loved these! Made them exactly by the recipe and they were perfect!

"This was a great recipe that made a huge serving! I went pretty much by the given recipe except for the aniseed. I was a bit weary of adding the cinnamon stick, but it was great! Don't skip that one! I also purchased some chinese noodles and served the soup with that. Turned out great and will feed my family for quite a while!

Next time I'm going to try throwing in some mushrooms toward the end of the cooking process. I think that'll be a great addition to add a bit more complexity to the dish.

"I have to admit I was a bit wary of mixing pumpkin with banana - but wow, this was great! It has become by go-to pie when I need something to bring to a party, but don't feel like baking. Easy to make the day before (just add the decorative topping right before you leave). I think this is the one pie that I get the most recipe copy requests for. It goes fast! I will often even bring two!

It's also good if you leave out the orange. Makes it a bit simpler, but in no way less tasty, I think. If I get excess, I put it in ramekins, cover with brown sugar, melt with a torch, and make a little brulee-like topping. Great little snack!

"Very easy to make and I love being able to save it for later. I often double or triple the recipe and save a few pies. When I bake these no one can believe they are from scratch! Comes out with a great texture for the filling due to the some mashed/some whole berries.
