Reviewed meatloaf muffins with barbecue sauce

Aug 25, 2014 on

I had the same result as e1hlywd_4419671. The texture was *very* wet and mushy, even after cooking the meatloaf muffins for an additional 10 minutes. The texture really ruined this for me because it was hard to get out of the muffin pan without it turning into slop on the plate and, as another reviewer noted, it looked like dog food. All that said,...

The recipe does not call for salted butter, it calls for butter. In my experience, most baking recipes assume you will use unsalted butter as the default.

Reviewed Sunny's Holiday PB and J Thumbprints

Dec 22, 2013 on

These tasted great. Think classic peanut butter cookie meets jam thumbprint. I didn't roll in the sugar as I felt that would be too sweet for us. I refrigerated my dough overnight and then baked them the next day. I made half with the preserves and half with dark chocolate hershey kisses. As a side note, for those who want to try the kisses, they...

Reviewed Strawberry Chocolate Layer Cake

Nov 17, 2013 on

I loved the idea of this cake, with the combo of the fresh whipped cream and strawberries. Like others mentioned, four layers would have been too much for us at home, so I just made my cake with two layers. I didn't cut the recipe in half but instead decided I would just bake all layers and freeze the extra, so I made the recipe as is.

This is an excellent pretzel recipe! The first time I made these they didn't come out as expected and I was very disappointed. However, I knew it had to be my mistake, so I tried again and they came out perfect. Here are the things I think I did wrong: 1) I kneaded by hand and didn't use the standing mixer (I don't think I kneaded long enough). 2)"

I made this recipe exactly as written and it came out great. It's such a quick recipe and the flavors do come together nicely. It's not quite Panera's though. :) Panera's has a thicker base. After trying it as written, I ended up adding more corn starch and another can of black beans to help thicken it at bit. Next time, I might had more at the...

Reviewed Crock Pot Cola Ham

Nov 12, 2012 in on

I made this tonight and it came out great! I have a 7 qt crockpot and I was able to fit a 9 lb spiral, bone in ham. I cooked it for 5 hours and it was really good. It could have been more moist but I think I probably should have added more coke because ham was much larger.

Excellent recipe and soooooo easy! Thanks so much for sharing!!"

Made this tonight and it was a great success! Everyone loved this side dish and it was so easy to make. It is not the healthiest vegetable but it is totally worth it. I made this in individual ramekins and the same cooking time applied. As a side note, I don't think the casserole even needs the extra cheese on top but I think that's a personal pre"

Excellent recipe!! I let it sit for an hour and then I couldn't help myself so I cut into it. :) It was still hot and of course, a little runny. I think if I had let it sit overnight it would have been perfect. I also used an extra spoonful of tapioca to make it less runny. I didn't find it too sweet at all; I thought it was a perfect combo. Like oldtimer1955 said, this was a great weeknight meal. I used chicken breasts and I forgot the capers and it still came out great. I used a cheap chardonnay and it still tasted delicious. Thanks, Giada! :)""

This soup came out great but I made a few changes (and I'd do something different next time). I almost doubled all the veggies in the stock to intensify the flavor since some reviewers said theirs came out weak. Also, after removing and shredding the chicken, I returned all the bones and scraps back to the stock to let it simmer for a few more ho...

By far the best oatmeal cookie I've ever had. I made no changes to the recipe and they were amazing. They stayed moist and fresh for days. A definite keeper in my recipe book!""

I'm giving this five stars but the only part I made was the meatballs. They came out soooo good! I've been trying to find a good recipe for a while and this one was perfect. I followed the recipe to the letter and then mixed it up a bit by adding some panko breadcrumbs, extra cheese and crushed red pepper. I also cooked them in the oven a bit longer...

This was outstanding! I'd give it 10 stars if I could. My boyfriend and I could not stop eating this. I made a few additions and included potatoes, corn and celery. I agree with other reviewers that the prep time took much longer than stated but it was definitely worth it if you have the time. We were able to make much more than four pot pies, as...
