These were amazing! My family ate every last one at one meal and begged for more. Delicious.""

Reviewed Hoppin' Jason: Cannellini and Rice with Andouille Sausage

May 23, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was delicious! The only thing I changed, as others did, was great northern beans. The kids loved it, hubby and I loved it - - even mother-in-law loved it! Definitely a keeper."

Reviewed Aunt Trina's Shrimp Boulettes

Apr 18, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These were rather disappointing. I put the shrimp in the blender as directed and their flavor was simply overwhelmed by the onion and potato. The texture of the inside was what I found least appealing, though. It was soft. I'm thinking the mixture needed to be dried out with some breadcrumbs or something (more like a salmon croquette). Maybe...

Reviewed Blueberry Muffin

Apr 18, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I was leery after reading reviews but needed to use up some blueberries. Thought they were actually very good. However, I didn't like the brown sugar sprinkled on top and scraped it off. The batter is thick, but they baked up nice and moist."

Reviewed Chicken and Rice Casserole

Apr 11, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was absolutely amazing - - we all loved it, even my picky eaters! I did tinker with it a little bit - - used peas instead of green beans because that's what my guys like. Used andouille sausage. After enjoying it immensely, we agreed shrimp would be a great addition with a little Old Bay seasoning."

Reviewed Baked Garlic Cheese Grits

Mar 28, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

These were absolutely amazing! Made them for a party of life-long Southerners, and we all agreed we'd never had better. Thanks Paula for this keeper!"

Reviewed Rosemary Polenta

Feb 23, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is delicious! My mother-in-law is from Triesta, Italy, and it got her seal of approval although it wasn't the sweet polenta she remembers from her youth. The kids LOVE it and asked for leftovers for breakfast and dinner the next day. Definitely a keeper at our house. Oh, and I didn't change a thing and it came out perfect."

Reviewed Thyme Mustard Catfish over Black-Eyed Pea Cakes

Feb 14, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Oh my gosh, made this over the weekend and it was AMAZING! Also made the cole slaw from the same episode, and it was equally delicious. Took the leftovers the next day and constructed fish tacos, and it was even better than the original dish. Complete winner!

Reviewed Three Bean Salad

Feb 8, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My husband and I really liked this. Different take on three bean salad, i.e., not sweet. Loved the Greek flavoring (used Cavender's).

Reviewed Blackened Tilapia Sandwich with Cilantro Lime Mayonnaise

Feb 8, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was really delicious! The entire family enjoyed it although the kids didn't go for the cilantro mayonnaise or mango salsa - - they ate it plain. Hubby and I loved it with all the trimmings!

Reviewed Breakfast Pizza

Jan 24, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

The whole family really enjoyed this. I used a little chunky spaghetti sauce instead of the tomatoes, and it was really good. I imagine salsa would make a nice flavor also. Will definitely make again.

Reviewed Cranberry Bean Pasta Fagioli

Oct 13, 2010 in Food Network Community Toolbox on Food Network

Whole family loved this one. I added 1 lb. ground pork, deleted the pancetta, and used baby spinach instead of kale. Delicious! Oh, and I substituted small red beans for the cranberry beans...still great.
