Reviewed Grilled Flank Steak with Shallot and Red Wine Sauce

May 3, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I might have given it 5, but I didn't make it quite like the recipe described. I had no shallots so I sliced a yellow onion very thin. I got distracted and reduced the sauce too much to tell much about it, but everybody loved it. I also threw in some sauteed mushrooms left over from another meal."

Tasty. I should have doubled the sauce. The sauce is quite chunky. I'll try this with chicken.""

Reviewed Mustard-Roasted Fish

May 23, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

My husband loves mustard and even he thought this was too mustardy. It is a good approach but next time I will use half the mustard. I used the capers and only salted the fish itself. I also put in some fresh dill I had on hand. Other than the "too mustardy" it was quite good and the fish came out beautifully moist."
