Reviewed Osso Buco

"This was phenomenal! I have made osso buco using a recipe I cannot find anymore using veal stock and meyer lemons for the braising liquid, I have made Mario Batali's version, where I had to spend 2 hours making a sauce before I cooked the osso buco for another 2 hours, and then I made this. It was really easy and my husband loved the sauce which was so thick with the vegetables, it did take a long time to brown, I waited and waited for it to achieve "crud" but it happened. And then the tomato paste browned too, before any wine went in there. I happened to see osso buco go on sale just after this show aired, so I had to make it for my husband who loves this dish so much.

"This was beyond fabulous. I did go and get the carnaroli rice. My supermarket had it. All the stirring was worth it.

Reviewed Stewed Chick Peas with Tomatoes and Zucchini

"I made this using dried chick peas which I soaked overnight, I just happened to have all of the ingredients from the farmer's market to use up, nice fresh zucchini and lots more tomatoes than we could eat in a salad when I saw this. I would have liked a touch more fennel and cumin, I thought the spices were very understated, I did use whole spices which were fresh and I toasted them and ground them myself, so they were very fragrant when I put them in. I did not want to overdo it.

Reviewed Marinara Sauce

"This was awesome, my husband loved it, especially with her "Excellent Meatballs" he wanted to eat it every night. I wanted to put some in the freezer for another dinner. It made a lot.
