My Activity

Reviewed Sausage and Fish One-Pot

"This meal is great both for a quick weeknight dinner and dinner for guests. I love one-pot recipes, and this one is among my favorites. While the combination of ingredients--Italian sausage, potatoes, tomatoes, white fish, wine, lemon juice--might seem a bit odd on paper, their flavors marry beautifully in the pot. You'll love this dish!"

Reviewed Tuscan Mashed Chickpeas

"This is a quick, easy and very delicious recipe. The fresh flavors of the tomato and lemon juice really bring the taste of the pureed chickpeas to life. The Parmesan cheese (I highly recommend using grated Parmigiano Reggiano, if possible) gives the recipe a richness and a nutty/buttery flavor but doesn't defeat the other ingredients. I served the"

Reviewed Sauteed Wild Mushrooms

"The mushrooms are so simple to prepare, you won't believe how incredibly delicious they taste! That is always the beauty of Ina's recipes."

Reviewed Cornmeal-Fried Onion Rings

"I am a big fan of onion rings, but, oddly enough, I've never cooked them. This recipe is simple and quick, the results delicious. Thank you, Ina!"

Reviewed Shrimp and Chorizo in Garlic Sauce

"This recipe has several simple ingredients and is very easy to prepare. The chorizo and the adobo seasoning impart great flavor to the shrimp. The garlic sauce itself is an indulgent treat and quite rich. Although I am a hearty eater, I found myself feeling a bit overwhelmed by this dish after several bites, but each bite was absolutely delicious"

Reviewed Prosciutto Roasted Bass with Autumn Vegetables

"As soon as I saw Ina make this recipe, I knew I wanted to try it. I found the sea bass (pricey but, as it turned out, so worth the money), proscuitto and the vegetables at my local Whole Foods. Food Network rates the recipe's difficulty level as "intermediate", but I found it incredibly simple to prepare. And, oh my, is it scrumptious! The proscui"

Reviewed Curried Chicken Salad Sandwich with Almonds and Raisins

"The extremely easy preparation of this salad is remarkable given how deliscious it tastes. I'll definitely make this again."

Reviewed Perfect Pot Roast

"I've tried tasty pot roast recipes by other FN stars, but this one by Ree Drummond beats them all! It so reminded me of my mom's pot roast which I adored as a kid. I thought it odd that she instructed to leave the carrots unpeeled but understood her reason completely when I tasted the wonderful rich flavor the skin imparts. The meat was perfectly ""

About Me

I'm a guy who grew up watching my mom and two sisters--excellent cooks all--prepare delicious dishes seemingly without effort. I didn't attempt to cook until about four years ago after watching an episode of 30 Minute Meals for the first time. Rachael made it look easy to prepare wonderful food, so I tried a few of her recipes. I've been hooked on cooking and Food Network ever since. And I've gotten to be almost as good of a cook as my mom and sisters are.
