My Activity

Reviewed London Broil with Herb Butter

"I've made this recipe on a few occasions and it's like a celebration in the kitchen each time. The herb butter alone is good for many different dishes and we make it all the time. We've tried broiling and grilling the meat as well and each time has come out fantastically. Wonderful recipe!""

About Me

I'm trying to follow in my Mom's footsteps as one the best and most adventurous cooks I know.

I'm an aspiring graphic designer and comic artist.  So far it's been mostly freelancing and hoping to catch that "big break," but I'm working hard in the meantime to one day go back to school and make my dream a reality.

I love to cook because it gives me a chance to express my creativity in a way that's more personal and that my family enjoys.  I'm not able to have kids, so I instead spoil my friends and family with food.  My uncle (who's a chef) put it best; "If eating is something you have to do to survive, you may as well make sure you enjoy it!"

I live somewhat vicariously through the Travel Channel and wonder if one day I'll have opportunites to see the world and go to all the places I want to visit.

Favorite Foods

I have a massive sweet tooth, almost to the point of being a bit troublesome!  I love chocolate and peanut butter.  I also love fruits; my kitchen is never without a bowl full of Clementines.  I'm currently on a quest to try a Cherimoya.

Growing up on the coast meant that fish and seafood was an almost daily thing, and I love to indulge every chance I get.  I love meat in almost every form, even ones that many others would never touch (turkey heart and liver are my favorite treats at Thanksgiving).

I love "interactive" foods as well.  Things that, when you eat them, are more than just putting it in your mouth.  There's tecnique involved, you gotta work to take a bite out of it.  I like restaurants that present foods in interesting ways, like self-grills and fondues and conveyor bars.

Always being willing to try new things is key!
