Reviewed Should Be Illegal Oven BBQ Ribs

I gave it only 4 stars for all the unnecessary ingredients that you end up not tasting because you've poured prepared bbq sauce over the whole thing! I finished these off on the grill and have to say that when I pulled them out of the oven they looked soggy and unappetizing. If you don't grill them, at least broil them! I also took others' advice...

A couple of things keep this from being a five star recipe; not enough salt for one. Also, the parmesan should be added to the sauce before finishing in order to thicken it. Also, "cajun spice" is variable. Not sure what the tomatoes have to offer...but I will be making this again."

I get what the intention was to this recipe, using all fresh ingredients, but it really misses the mark. Not flavorful. It is just an "OK" recipe, not worthy of repeat. Nothing ruins a desire for cake like the smell of something burning. This does not make 2 8 inch cake rounds, it must be poured into 9 inch rounds, or you will have your smoke detector alarming. Had to throw it all out, as the smoke permeated the cake. Next time, proofread your recipe, Contessa.

I am surprised that nobody has addressed the incorrect proportions on this recipe. While good, the amount of flour, egg, and mozzarella are way off for 4 chicken breasts. Also, it makes way more sauce than needed, even when you consider sauce for pasta to be served with it. So I rated it only fair for the waste of ingredients.
