Reviewed pan-seared salmon with summer succotash

2 days ago on

This was the best new recipe we've tried in a very long time. It's so light and healthful but still very satisfying. My husband doesn't like edamame (or so he thought), but he couldn't get enough of the succotash. Definitely our next company meal. And if you do the mise en place in advance, as I'm training myself to do, the actual preparation takes...

Reviewed roast loin of pork with fennel

Nov 19, 2014 on

Perfectly delicious! I think I lucked out because I didn't realize there was a difference between pork loin and pork tenderloin. I used the tenderloin (which I guess is smaller than a typical loin) and it came out perfectly, but I did cook it 40 minutes and rest it 15. The vegetables were perfect, even at 425. Made croutons,...

I had read almost all the reviews prior to fixing, so I took the following bits of advice: Cooked (in crockpot) the day before, stored in fridge, reheated slowly on stove; added Old Bay, Creole seasoning, and garlic to the...

Reviewed Cauliflower and Potatoes: "Aloo Gobi"

Sep 23, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

My husband and I bought some delicious aloo gobi at our local farmers market. We decided to try to make it ourselves and found Aarti's recipe. It was even more delicious than what we had purchased. Yesterday I sauted a dash of cumin seeds and a dash of fennel seeds in butter, added basmati rice and stirred, then boiled the rice. It was a perfe"

Reviewed Chicago Steakhouse Sandwich

Sep 5, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on

My husband made this for us tonight, and, although I'm not a smoker, I felt a craving for a cigarette after eating this sandwich. It is to die for. The garlic chips are such a great idea and added extra pizazz to a sandwich already full of flavor. Love your show and look forward to trying all your great meals-in-a-sandwich""
