My Activity

Reviewed Smoky Baked Beans

"I love Aaron's cooking and have made many of his recipes so I was excited to try this one. I soaked the beans as instructed but as I was putting the recipe together it seemed very white in color. Rather than use the white sugar, I substituted brown sugar and a couple of tablespoons of molasses. I did not use the smoked sausages because my husba""

Reviewed Honey-Peppered Buttermilk-Fried Chicken

"This recipe, for us, fell flat on so many levels. I had read the reviews before preparing it and followed the advice of lowering the temp of the oil and extending the cooking time and reducing the salt. I did not like the results using the peanut oil either. This chicken was very greasy. This was a lot of prep time with not so desirable results""

Reviewed Deep-Dish Apple Tarte Tatin

"I had made a wonderful dinner using one of Tylers recipes. I decided that since this was a simple desert it would go great with the meal I had planned. This recipe was all wrong. Reviewed Chicken with Shallots

"It was hard to find the boneless chicken with the skin on. I wound up having to purchase it with the bone in and trimming it out when I got home. However, the chicken is the best I've ever cooked. About Me

I am married with 4 grown children and grandmother to 4 boys and one girl. I own my own embroidery business but would be so much happier as a stay-at-home wife. I love to cook, knit, quilt, read and explore my home state.

I am inspired by the Food Network to cook because all the cooking shows make it easy. There are so many good recipes and by watching I am inspired to try new things... Who knew I would grow to love leeks?

I am happily married to Sam for 16 years now and he is my biggest fan when it comes to trying new recipes. He also inspires me because he is full of praise when I try the recipes from the various chefs.

My passion is my family... especially my sisters whom I love and adore. I can't get enough of them... I have 4 so I have a nice variety.. LOL

Favorite Foods

I think I could be a vegetarian if I could take the time to figure it all out and make some really delicious recipes. That being said, I love vegetables, chicken, home made soups and chowdas (that's how we say it in Maine..) Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and I make a killer breakfast casserole that I am famous for in my family. My favorite restaurant? I guess that would have to be the China Rose in Freeport... I love, love, love their chinese food. My all time favorite passtime is cooking though... I just don't have enough time to try all the recipes all out though...
