Reviewed buttermilk panna cotta

Jul 17, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I love the tanginess of this panna cotta. This, I wold say, is a lower-fat version of the traditional panna cotta. I think recipe works well, like fool-proof. I also used regular honey and in my opinon, it's little enough not to really see the color.

Jun 21, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

An absolute comfort food! I grilled the eggplant instead of frying, since it was going to be layered with sauce. I would try crumbling the goat cheese on top next time instead of mixing into the white sauce, as I could not taste the goat cheese at all.

Reviewed Pumpkin Cheesecake

Dec 5, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I made this for Thanksgiving this year, since I didn't want a plain pumpkin pie. The pumpkin flavor in this cheesecake was subtle as well as the spices. Also it wasn't as rich/creamy as the NY cheesecake. The bottom line- it's good but it's not the cheesecake we kind of expect. The flavor, spices, and sweetness are all on the milder side.

I made this using Tazo Passion tea since that was what I had and it has hibiscus in it. They had exactly the same color and looked the same as the pictured ones above, so I guess it worked.
When I think of panna cotta I think it's very creamy and rich. I thought this wasn't too creamy and rich because tea dilutes the cream a little. However,...

It was very rich, maybe a little too rich. I have this problem that when I make ice cream/gelato in the ice cream machine and put it in the freezer they get very solid.
I could taste alcohol in it, and it was kind of strong. I also thought it was a bit too orange-y."

I was so excited to make these, but as a result I was disappointed. I don't know why but they came out bland and flavorless unlike other people's reviews. I even used organic meat and mostly organic ingredients in the recipe. I realize that's prob why the sauce calls for some chicken stock to add a bit more flavor. They are lean and so much health"

I made only the falafel not the yogurt sauce but the falafel was so easy to make and good. They were unexpectedly a bit spicy. I used dill in place of cilantro because that was what I had on hand. I also baked them in the oven instead of frying to aim for a healthier alternative. I topped them with smokey eggplant yogurt sauce I had and some Itali"

I made this dessert for Christmas this year. It was so fun assembling this dessert. Instead of using a store-bought pound cake I made the sponge cake from scratch and sliced it to fill the bottom and the top of the cake.
The only thing was the cake parts didn't stick together too well and when I unmold it one piece was falling off a bit....

I used the same recipe from other source except it had more spices. It was excellent. What I added was: 2 whole cloves, pinch of cinnamon, and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Definitely better with those spices. I didn't add the egg whites but will try next time. I also will try to make this into ice cream."

Nov 19, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I was very curious about this recipe. It sounded very unique-- the lemon glaze instead of the traditional lemon curd and an addition of thyme!
Even though I hate sugary glaze on anything, this glaze acutally plays an important role because it gives the lemony taste without the curd on top. Thyme was very interesting and I loved it, however,...
