Reviewed Maple Roasted Sweet Potatoes
"This is very yummy. Great new way to eat sweet potatoes. I used a local maple syrup, although not grade B, but it was still a perfect hot, sweet combination.""
"This is one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten in my life!!! I try to make this every couple of weeks, and it's my husbands favorite!! I'm Italian, my husband is German and this is one of the few dishes we agree on. I also make it to impress friends and family, works every time!!""
Reviewed Classic Coq Au Vin
"This was wonderful!!! It was worth every step!! I made this exactly like the recipe and everyone loved it! Plus once it's in the over you have all that time to do other things...set it and forget it!! ""
I love to try new recipes and change some old ones to make them my own!! My grandma owned a restaurant for most of my childhood and I loved food and cooking ever since. I feel there are no mistakes in the kitchen and you can never rule out a combination of flavors. Try anything once, before you say it will never work. My favorite recipes come from Betty Crocker 1961 "New Picture" cook book that my mother in law passed on to me. There are no recipes like classic ones.
Italian recipes are my comfort food, really reminds me of family dinners. I love all types of styles and ingredients. Tangy dishes, creamy sauces and gravy, tender meats, pasta of any kind! I think the only taste I don't care for is anise/licorice.
