Reviewed Sticky Toffee Date Cake
"Fantastic! Bakery Quality! Fun to make. Can't wait to have it again. Tastes fantastic with homemade blackberry sorbet, too... I made it in a 9X11 pan, and baked at 350' for 40 minutes, turned the oven off and gave it 5 more minutes....""
About Me
I grew up with a grandma who was a hippie before there was hippies. Fast food to me was a cherry pie made in a wooden oven, fresh cucumbers, peppers, & onions in a vinegar, sugar and salt marinade, pickled green beans, and of course everything was served in dishes my grandma made from clay. Grandma Elizabeth was a great potter, and made personalized cups for family members, complete with faces on the them.
Dad, Grandpa Jeff, & brother John hunted and fished, and Mom and Grandma always had a garden going, and fresh berries were always nearby. I ate like a princess.
Still do.
..I'm a former Deli and Restaurant owner, and I love to create new and wonderful dishes..I love to hunt mushrooms in the forests of Oregon....I spend most of my days working with Real Estate and Poker, but can find time to create a new dish if I am inspired by wonderful ingredients...
