Why would anyone like cabbage with lemon?!. The cabbage needs honey and nuts, not lemon zest. Lets face it, there in the cabbage family, they need sweet and sour, not the zest of a lemon. Other wise trim them, half them, saly and pepper them, and use them with a cold slaw dressing, and serve at the fourth of July as cold slaw."

We had this for dinner with the children and grand children, they loved it and my wife loved it and I really loved it. I cooked it just as the recipe said, no need to change anything, it was outstanding. This will be a "go to" from now on.

Not a fan, her sauce was not real cajun, never cook shrimp and grits with tasso always with andouille sausage. Had this at a friends house, a few weeks late I cooked the real thing and they loved mine. May be South Carolina does it different and thats fine but her recipe to me is not good.
