I made the recipe with the addition of some fresh grated ginger, garlic and a splash of soy sauce which deepened the flavor. I would also add some caramelized onions next time which I think will round out the flavor. Also, slice the cabbage as fine as possible as red cabbage is firmer than green and seems to take much longer to cook. "
