About Me

Originally from Massachusetts, I now live in Tennessee, what a difference. I spend alot of my time baking and cooking. Even tho there is only my husband and myself, I always make sure to send some goodies off to work for everyone. Besides cooking, anything crafty will take up some of my time along with reading, and of course keeping house. We have four dogs and one cat, two daughters, who live out of state and three grand children. If that is not enough information, I am on my third husband (17 years) and NO, Iam not looking for #4. That is about it..too much information ? Too little?

Update: Aug.25,2010

Just finished a bout with Cancer...oral. The only reason I wanted to add this is that...I have lost my taste. From 1 to 10, I might have a 2, in the ability to taste...and...nothing tastes the same. For someone who loves to cook, without taste...forget it. A good example is, when going thru my treatments, I took goodies, everyday. I tried to make Girl Scout's Thin Mint cookies. With the loss of taste, my smell is unbelievable...with the Thin Mints, all I could smell was the peppermint extract. When one of the girls took a bite, she told me that all she tasted was the chocolate. So, now I just wait and hope that I will get back to normal....It is no fun, if you can't experiment in the kitchen.

Favorite Foods

My favorite foods are the ones that I can not get. Right now it is Maine lobster and steamers. I love to cook gourmet meals, but this husband is a meat and potatoes type of guy. Even tho he was brought up in an Italian household, he doesnt eat any of it except pizza and my chicken cacchitore. No lamb, veal, seafood, very few vegies and nothing in the way of eggs (no souffles).I can't wait to have a dinner party and cook up a storm...He heads down the street for a pizza.
