My Activity

Reviewed Ultimate Ginger Cookie

"Oh wow!!!! What more can be said about these cookies? I made them tonight and, like others, used Trader Joe's uncrystallized ginger. I've never been great at baking cookies but these turned out amazingly. This is my new ginger cookie recipe. Absolutely love them!"

Reviewed Fudgy Salty Peanut Butter Brownies

"Loved the brownies (best homemade recipe I've come across yet) and the peanut butter layer was amazing. Reviewed Tres Leche Cake

"I followed the suggestions of jennamabile127 using her measurements (I don't have a scale) and cassandra13187 adding cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter and liquid, and lemon zest to the whipped cream. Thanks to Alton for the fabulous recipe and jenna and cassandra for the great tweaks! The cake was absolutely HEAVENLY!!! I am making another one right now! :)"

Reviewed Red Wine Beef Stew with Potatoes and Green Beans

"I added portabella mushrooms and used more carrots and more potatoes. After browning the meat and thickening the onions/flour/broth mixture, I threw everything in a dutch oven and baked 300-350 for a few hours. I threw in some frozen peas after taking it out of the oven for more green. FABULOUS STEW!!! This is a go-to recipe.

Reviewed African Peanut Soup

"I followed this recipe exactly as written and it smelled wonderful as it cooked but turned out quite blah. It was definitely missing something for us...maybe it needed more curry or the addition of ginger or cilantro. I had high hopes based on all the good reviews but we didn't think it was very flavorful.
