I made this for a life group and everyone said liked it but I was not a fan. It w t "heavy" and needed something. I like more heat so maybe so salsa and sou c lighten it.

Easy recipe. The crumble was very good. However, the fruit was way too sour. If I make this again I will have to taste the filing before baking to see if it needs more sugar. I also made a little more of the crumble. I don't think there's enough to cover the top.

This recipe was just an inspiration for what I made last night as this sounded kind of bland and I had a lot of zucchini to use. I added a few ripe chopped tomatoes, oregano, thyme, basil, parsley, extra garlic, a little red pepper flakes and pasta water, salt , pepper, heavy cream and parmesan cheese. We love this recipe. I double the cumin and poultry seasoning. I also like buying a whole roast chicken, shredding it and adding it to the hot oil and spices. Sometimes I double the veggies and add extra chicken stock as well. One of our favorite meals."

I made this because I am on a budget right now. Simple to make, definitely affordable but I was disappointed in the flavor. I felt it was quite bland.
