About Me

While I will cook meat for anyone, I have been a pescetarian for 27 years. I believe three things about food:

1. Curry is a food group

2. No one should ever be judged on what they have or have not tried or do or do not like.  Give it time.

3. The more people for whom you cook, the better the chance someone will think you're the super genius second coming of Julia Child.

Favorite Foods

Thai, Ethiopian, Indian, Middle Eastern, Greek, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese, Nepali, French provincial, spicy, veggie, edible, new...

I am known for elk chili, angel food cake, spanikopita, making carnivores like vegetarian dishes and huge gatherings. If I can cook for 30 people, I'll try to invite 20 more. I once challenged myself to go an entire year without making the same dish twice for our weekly Wednesday potluck. I made it two years and three months. I've raised pigs in attempt to make myself like pork. It almost worked. I try every food I don't like once a year to see if I can grow. The list is short and getting shorter, but it's stubborn. I am a lover of food for the pure joy of it and cooking is meditating.
