 Hello, I am Stephen Cipolla, born, bred and fed in Brooklyn, New York, by an Italian mother who nurtured me with her love of cooking, generous spirit, and warm hospitality. Her life, it seemed, was spent at the kitchen stove, while ours were centered around the kitchen table. Keeping her family and friends well-fed with simple, soul-satisfying food was her passion. It was in this aroma-filled environment that my love of all things culinary blossomed. Many of the recipes you will find here are based on the ones learned at my mother's apron strings, tweaked here and there to incorporate new flavors and textures, as well as totally original ones, created through trial and error, and perfected for your enjoyment.
