Sorry, not a review but a couple questions: why dredge the hot dogs in cornstarch vs flour? I've not seen cornstarch used like this. When thickening sauces or gravies, is there any hard and fast rule about when to use cornstarch and when to use flour? THANKS!

This is amazingly rich and delicious. I baked mine in a metal pan-not a dark one-and it took the full 50 minutes. I continued the fall flavors by serving with whipped cream to which I added some powdered sugar, vanilla, cinnamon & nutmeg. It's gotten rave reviews!
