Like some other reviewers, I was unable to locate chutney so I took the advice of one of them and went through my fridge and found a jar of orange marmalade. "This oughta do!" The rest of the recipe I followed to the letter, even though I wasn't so sure about the raisins. BUT. . . the finished product won me over. The raisins can stay! Great balance...

Made these this morning and they all came out puffed and beautiful! Great crunch and chewy interior. I used unsalted butter and Kosher salt as the recipe indicates and they were perfect! I suspect that the reviewers who have commented that theirs turned out salty used salted butter and table salt. Follow the recipe, and you'll be well-rewarded!

Reviewed Lentil Sausage Soup

Made this (with my own chicken stock, thank you very much!) Gave a quart to my bf and he texted me that it was the best soup he'd had since his mother's minestrone! (I liked it too.)

Be advised: you really do need a very big dutch oven or caserole; my Lodge 6 qt. was barely contained this recipe. Actual yield was 5 1/2 qts.
